WinFIG on Mac OS / Re: Libraries folder location
« Last post by Andreas on July 04, 2016, 10:13:23 PM »
Put it under WinFIG.app/Contents/MacOS/Libraries in another subfolder i.e. "mine". So, the full path to the drawing foo.fig would be
"WinFIG.app/Contents/MacOS/Libraries/mine/foo.fig".

You can navigate inside the WinFIG.app with Double Commander or with finder using "Show package contents". I'm thinking about moving the libraries to the user home, because the installation folder has access restrictions on Windows. But this will be only in a future release.

WinFIG on Mac OS / Libraries folder location

For Windows, the libraries folder (containing objects) is clearly located into the bundle of WinFIG. But where we must put the libraries folder for the Mac OS-X version?

It's working ok with Release 6.0 final. Does the error occur when viewing formulas in WinFIG or when exporting to LaTeX and creating dvi or PDF? Which version of WinFIG are you using? There was a bug regarding slashes fixed in 6.0b2: "escaping \ to \\ like in Xfig"

WinFIG and LaTeX / Problems with \ in latex

I cannot use any command like $\alpha$ or $\infty$ in the LateX formulas with WinFig. It just gives me alpha or infty  (in italics) like if the symbol \ had been disregarded.

I do get the correct result for $x^2$, for example.

Any clue of what can be happening? Thank you!

I am working with triangular lattices. I wish WinFIG has triangular lattice, so that I don't need switch back and forth between WinFIG and Xfig.
