Feature Requests / Constrained Move

Constrained Move seems to be missing, although snap to grid is usually a workable substitute.

General Discussion / Re: another problem exporting to pdf
« Last post by sulabor on October 19, 2012, 07:21:14 AM »
Hi everyone,

I have a problem with exporting images. I insert .tiff  camiseta de futbol file using the picture icon and add other objects, but when I export it as .eps or .pdf the .tiff picture does not appear on the camiseta de futbol baratas  exported file. I only see the other objects, such as lines, text and so on, but the .tiff picture is missing... Did you have similar problem? Could you give me some advice?

WinFIG and LaTeX / Re: center equation in framebox
« Last post by Andreas on September 25, 2012, 01:55:16 PM »
ah, ok it's probably because the "put" overrides the \center. However, Perhaps there is a way to change the LaTeX export to include the centering inside the box. Right now it looks like this:

Code: [Select]
\put(3001,-6549){\makebox(0,0)[b]{\smash{{\SetFigFont{12}{14.4}{\rmdefault}{\mddefault}{\updefault}{\color[rgb]{0,0,0}sdfsdfdsdsf}%

WinFIG and LaTeX / Re: center equation in framebox

Thanks for the suggestion.  I just tried it -- but it doesn't work.

The only way I've succeeded so far is to edit the exported .tex file to change the coordinates in the \put command.  That works, but is pretty awkward.

WinFIG needs Qt 4.5 or higher. Perhaps you still have a 4.4 or 4.3?

Did you try \begin{center} ... \end{center} around your formula?

WinFIG and LaTeX / center equation in framebox
« Last post by smrock on September 22, 2012, 06:11:34 PM »
I am trying to draw block diagrams and need to center a latex equation in each of the frameboxes.   Does anyone know how to do this?  I tried aligning my text entry and the box, but that aligns the raw latex command (e.g. $\gamma$, not the resulting greek symbol.  Thanks

General Discussion / Fail to start WinFIG in Ubuntu 12.04-64Bit
« Last post by thomas on September 17, 2012, 01:36:47 PM »
I installed WinFIG v. 4.9 in the local dirrectory ~/WinFIG

When I try to start WinFIG I receive the message "./WinFIG: error while loading shared libraries: libQtGui.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

libQtGui.so.4 is installed, other programs are also using this lib.

Can anybody give me a hint how to solve this problem?

best regards, Thomas

Feature Requests / Readable Descriptions when Hover Over Buttons
« Last post by GSM on September 15, 2012, 06:48:30 PM »
Had WinFig a few weeks now and it's great, but there's one thing that's really hampering my progress!

I'm using it with Ubuntu and whenever I hover over an button whose function I do not know, an explanation of the function comes up in a small comment box. However, the background of the comment box is yellow/cream, and the writing inside the comment box is white... which makes the comments unreadable.

Is there a way to change this, or is it built into the program?!
